N42bn Railway Project Reps reveal massive looting, PDP chieftains allegedly involved

Chambers of the Nigerian House of Representatives. 
Reports say the level of looting that went on, under the guise of the Rehabilitation of  Railway tracks and the procurement of Coaches and Locomotives, is massive.
Vanguard reports that a source close to the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee, investigating the project, said “Nigerians would be shocked at the level of massive frauds committed by highly placed government functionaries when the findings of this committee are made public.”

According to Vanguard Newspapers, a source said that “former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF and two former National Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who held very key positions on the Board of the NRC were said to have been fingered as having taken decisions that were less than in public interest in the rehabilitation project.”
Vanguard also reports that payments were made twice for one project, and contractors delivered coaches and locomotives, below the specification given to them.

14yr old boy arrested by police in Texas after his homemade clock was mistaken for a bomb

There is a strong and angry reaction to this on social media with the hashtag #IStandwithAhmed. 14 year old Ahmed Mohamed was arrested after he'd made a clock at home and brought it into MacArthur High School in Irving to show his engineering teacher who congratulated him. Another teacher who heard it's beeping sound during class, saw it and believed it looked like a bomb, alerted school authorities who called the police.
