Aisha Buhari Wife of the president joins Enugu first lady to launch free health screening

Wife of the president, Aisha Buhari and Dolapo Osinbajo joined the first lady of Enugu, Monica Ugwuanyi as over 2,000 women benefitted from a free health screening programme.
The one-day screening programme had the presence of other first ladies and the women, who were drawn from various locations in the South East geopolitical zone.


According to reports, the women converged at Queens Secondary School Enugu to benefit from the free health screening initiative programme which was powered by the Enugu State’s Government.
Hadjia Buhari and Mrs Ugwuanyi noted that the free health screening was launched as a one day event that would entrench health care consciousness in women through advocacy, screening and boosting of primary health care centre facilities in Enugu State.
Flagging-off the free health screening initiative, Mrs. Buhari said, “You are in safe hands. I am glad that we are gathered here with governors’ wives for this programme. It is a voluntary health agency rendering free health care services.

There is a strong and angry reaction to this on social media with the hashtag #IStandwithAhmed. 14 year old Ahmed Mohamed was arrested after he'd made a clock at home and brought it into MacArthur High School in Irving to show his engineering teacher who congratulated him. Another teacher who heard it's beeping sound during class, saw it and believed it looked like a bomb, alerted school authorities who called the police.
